Ms. Berger attended Canterbury Prep School in Connecticut. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont.
During and after her college years, she spent two years living in Spain and France becoming fluent in Spanish and French. After working in the corporate world of fashion, in her early 30s, Ms. Berger found her calling as a psychotherapist.
She completed her Masters in Social Work at Hunter College in New York City. She received her post-graduate psychotherapy training at the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy in NY. Ms. Berger is a graduate of IIN, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
She has completed training in Emotionally Focussed Therapy and Imago, which provide the basis of her couples therapy. She has received training in EMDR, an effective method for the treatment of trauma.
